Tanning Lotion Types – Bronzers

Want a super dark tan? You might want to try a tanning lotion with bronzers.

Tingle tanning lotions were once the major craze, but they’ve been replaced with by the bronzers. There’s many reasons why: bronzers work on many skin types, they leave you looking dark without any burning sensation.

Some bronzers are just cosmetic change the color of the skin, but the most effective are ones that enhance your tan through a chemical process.

Bronzer tanning lotions have many common ingredients like dihydroxyacetone (DHA), an amino acid that’s made form sugarcane. When it comes in contact with protein, it has a chemical reaction that turns to a bronze shade. Another common ingredient is erythulose, which helps prevent streaking and that orange tinge that you see with lower quality tanning lotions.

There is one minor flaw with bronzers, you have to be careful because these lotions will rub off onto the clothing you’re wearing. The best bet is to wear darker color clothing so it’s not noticebale.

A couple of the most popular bronzer tanning lotions at Extreme Tan And Smoothies are Paint It Black 50X and Black 20X. Both will give you darker results.
