Tanning Goggles

Before you step into any tanning bed or stand up booth, there’s one thing you need to put on. And no today, I’m not talking about tanning lotions. Instead, I’m talking about something that’s even more important – tanning eye wear or goggles.

We only get one pair of eyes and exposure to ultraviolet rays can be very harmful. The good news is that with the right eye wear, you can protect your eyes.

Tanning involves different types of ultraviolet lights and if you don’t wear the proper indoor tanning eye wear, you can get very painful corneal burns. UVA light rays can enter the retina and cause serious burns and permanent internal eye damage. In the worse case scenario, it can lead to blindness.

Here’s some tips to make sure you properly protect your eyes when you’re tanning:

Make sure your tanning eye wear fights tightly over your eyes. Make sure that there’s no light leaking in. If there is light leaking in, it’s time to get different kind of eye wear.

Don’t want to wear goggles because you’re afraid of getting “raccoon eyes?” You can use self-tanning eye lotions. If you remove your tanning eye wear to get your eyelids tanned, you could damage your eyes and your vision permanently.

You should never share your tanning eye wear with someone else. When you do that, you risk getting an eye infection from the other person.

At Extreme Tan And Smoothies you can find several different kinds of tanning eye wear so you can find the right kind for you.
