We are constantly gathering feedback from our customers as well as out staff in regards to the various tanning lotions and services that we offer at Extreme Tan and Smoothies, a big part of the information we collect from our associates is our tanning lotion reviews. When one of our staff members tests a new tanning lotion that we have in stock they will submit reviews through our communication forum, we figured it would be helpful to some of you if we posted the tanning lotion reviews that we get.

The following tanning lotion review was written by me, Extreme John after I tested one of the new Devoted Creations tanning lotions, D3 Cooling Bronzer.

Please explain your answer briefly for each question and include a rating.

1. Is the bottle design one of the main reasons you tried this lotion?

The bottle design really had nothing to do with me choosing D3, I like cooling bronzers which is the first reason I wanted to try it. The bottle colors are the same as Extreme Tan and Smoothies, so you know I like it!

2. Were you satisfied with the way the lotion dispensed from the bottle?
Rating on a Scale of 1-10: 10

Yes, D3 cooling bronzer came out of the bottle perfectly.

3. How did you feel about the way the lotion applied to your skin?
Rating on a Scale of 1-10: 10

D3 applied with a very smooth and consistent feeling, and a little bit of lotion went a long long way.

4. After applying the lotion were you happy with the feeling of the lotion on your skin?
Rating on a Scale of 1-10: 10

I remember running my hands over my arms one last time before getting into the stand-up tanning booth at the Clearwater Extreme Tan and Smoothies, it was moments after applying the lotion and this is usually the lotion killer for me. However D3 passed the test it was as if I didn’t put anything on my skin at all, much like Couture Sport for Men and Couture Sport for Woman.

5. Did you notice instant results upon exiting the tanning bed?

I did notice a hint of color when I first exited the tanning booth, but as soon as I walked out of the tanning room Melissa and Kandra both noticed a difference, Kandra said she hadn’t seen me look that dark in a while. I was surprised by that because I hadn’t been tanning in about six months.

6. Did your skin feel greasy or oily after tanning?

Not at all! My skin was just as smooth and dry as it was before I went in to the tanning bed. By far one of my favorite feeling lotions after tanning.

7. Did you notice any After Tan Odor (ATO) after using this lotion?
Rating on a Scale of 1-10: 10

Nope, no after tan odor with D3 and better yet the slight hint of Banana cream fragrance that I could smell before applying was also gone, no banana smell and no after tan odor, both a BIG plus for me.

8. Do you feel that you noticed results within 24hrs of using the lotion for the first time?
Rating on a Scale of 1-10: 10

I noticed results within 2 hours, I was significantly darker than I was when I first exited the tanning booth and with a nice bronze color. No orange color.

9. Would you recommend this tanning lotion to a friend or family member?
Rating on a Scale of 1-10: 10

I would certainly recommend D3 cooling bronzer to anyone looking for instant results and a nice cool feeling after they are done tanning. However, I would be careful not to recommend this lotion to people with very fair skin due to the bronzer in this lotion. I would be more likely to recommend Limited Couture.

10. Would you use this tanning lotion again?

I fully intend to use the entire bottle of D3 that I have, I like this lotion and I am confident that it is going to take me from being super pasty white to tan in a very short time.

If I were to make one change to this lotion I would increase the cooling action, I wouldn’t make it as intense as Rum on the Rocks by California Tan (one of my all time favorites), but I would intensify the cooling action a little more. The cooling action was nice because it reduced sweating and after tan sweating tremendously, I felt much cooler than I typically would be after tanning.
