At Extreme Tan And Smoothies, we get a lot of questions about the stand up tanning booths, the reason is that when most people think of indoor tanning, they probably think tanning beds first. Tanning beds are probably the most popular in tanning salons across the country, but there’s another kind, standing booths that are growing in popularity.
Many people like the traditional beds because they’re relaxing, but there are advantages to standing booths.
In a standing bed, you can move more freely, so you can move around to get a better overall tan. It allows you to raise your arms and allows the light to tan parts of your body that a tanning bed doesn’t allow.
Also, the lamps are different. In a booth, they have a special reflector that spreads the light more even across your body.
One drawback that tanning beds have, is that when you’re laying down, there will be areas that touch the bed and tan less. They call this a pressure point.
It depends what kind of bed or booth you’re using, but usually, stand up beds use stronger bulbs.
But there are some drawbacks to standing tanning beds. Of course, you might tired because you have to stand up and that can become uncomfortable.
It really comes down to what you like. You should consider everything from comfort to overall tan. I like to stand up as often as I can, but I also like to mix a lay down bed at least once a week.
What’s your opinion on it?
