If you’ve ever been in any tanning salon, not just an Extreme Tan And Smoothies, but any one, you probably saw their display of tanning lotions. I’ve heard more than a few novice tanners wonder out loud what the point of a lotion was why did they need t spend their money on it? Well, it’s not just a plan for the tanning salons to make more money, the lotions actual help you tan and nourish your skin, so using a tanning lotion is a very good idea.
There’s so many tanning lotions that it can be overwhelming when you walk into your salon. There’s different kind of lotions, dozens of brands and much more to choose from.
The first place to start is by choosing a type of lotion. The three main kinds of lotions are bronzers, tingle lotions and standard lotions that don’t have either. Of course, there’s even lotions that are a combination of both bronzers and tinglers.
Bozner lotions are the most popular on the market right now, because they help tanners get the deepest, darkest tan as quick as possible. They have ingredients that help your skin become noticeably darker in as few as two or three visits to the salon.
Most tanning lotions also have additional ingredients in their formulas to keep your skin moisturized and to protect it. These ingredients are often what will set one lotion apart from another. There’s hemp seed oil, anti-aging blends and skin firming compounds to name just a few. Some lotions have become so advanced that their prices can reach close to a hundred dollars.
Whether you want to pay that much or less is entirely up to you, but one thing is certain, if you go into a tanning bed and don’t apply tanning lotion, your skin has a greater chance of getting burnt, getting an uneven tan and even increasing the chance of skin damage.
It’s completely understandable to be overwhelmed and unsure about tanning lotions, but talk to the associates working there, they have training on lotions and are generally experts when it comes to picking out the right kinds of lotions.
