It’s probably something many of us do not talk about but acne or blemishes on our bums are quite common. Beauty is not always pretty! We’ve got a couple quick tips to keep your tush looking great and silky smooth.

Just like pimples and blackheads on your face, acne on your butt is caused by clogged pores and/or follicles. You can begin to get rid of these in just a few days by following our tips.

Exfoliating is one of the most important things you can do to keep your tush fresh. A simple scrubbing on your butt with a loofah, washcloth or exfoliating sponge can go a long way. Be sure to use a gentle body scrub as well. This process will help remove dead skin cells and open your pores. This will not remove current blemishes but will reduce and help prevent future issues.

Using a shower gel or scrub that includes salicylic acid will keep blemishes from appearing from the start. You could even use an Aspirin Mask, care of Bella Sugar’s awesome beauty website. It’s a cheap and easy alternative exfoliate that contains chemically similar ingredients.

This may sound like something you would do regardless but be sure to keep clean underwear on. Some underwear that are too tight fitting on are made with nylon can trap perspiration, which will in turn cause irritation and/or small bumps. This goes for guys too – give yourself a break every now and then and wear a pair of loose fitting breifs.

  2. Regarding the loofah, I was always under the impression to use it wet, like a sea sponge, but someone recently told me to use it dry, like a nail file. Suggestions?

@Judy thank you for commenting. I would still recommend using a loofah with moisture involved, at the very least have it damp so you don’t damage your skin.
